"High-End" vs. "Low-End" Products

Hi All =),

So as I was looking through many many YouTube Gurus and even bloggers I have noticed that many girls that are on the web often use "high -end" products, which include everything in Sephora, from Urban Decay, to Too-face, to even to Mac. But what is it that differentiates "high" and "low" ends? Even before I became a college student, I have realized that not all products that are pricey equals good quality. As a cheapster like me who likes to save and find good bargains. I assume most gals who start off with makeup buy their products from the drugstore first, because those where the only cosmetics that we could afford, for me at least. Now, that doesn't mean that I don't have enough money now to buy "higher" ends stuff in Sephora. But sometimes, I dont' really see a need to. Some of my most favorite bargain sites to shop from are Eyeslipsface.com, Cherryculture.com, Coastalscents.com, and also, my local drugstore.

Girls, one of my favorite places to find things are in Eyeslipsface (e.l.f). I know that now the company is spreading their products where you guys may be able to find them in your local Ultas, Target, Rite-aid, and also Mandee. I can not tell you all enough how great most products are on E.L.F with such affordable prices. Yes, I know that their website is sometimes a hit-or-miss, however, their studio line and mineral line I believe are in great quality for only from $3 - $5. If you girls are on budgets and would like to buy makeup brushes, and because they are so pricey from the other higher brands, you can always check out E.L.F's products from their studio line. Their eyeshadow brush and blending brush is pretty good quality for only $1! I also like to shop at the drugstore, mostly looking at Covergirl, Maybelline, and believe it or not, Wet n' Wild. I know that some girls dislike the fact that because certain items are from the drugstore, that they are not good quality. I disagree. I have quite a few products from Maybelline, ranging from their blushes which I like, and their mascaras. I really adore the crayon eyeliners from Covergirl because they are so smooth! I also like the shimmer strips from Wet n' wild that can be used for eyeshadows. Sometimes when I am in a rush, I just use those colors on the palette and the colors are pigmented and gorgeous, and very well worth your money.

CoverGirl Eyeliner ^ -- I Adore this eyeliner!

I have also heard that many drugstore brands are stepping up their game to improve their qualities that are just as good as the higher ends, like Loreal, or Revlon's colorstay foundation that were also mentioned by popular gurus on YouTube. Actually, some gurus actually try out drugstore brands to see which skin tone makeup suites them best and then they would go to higher end places to find the same color in other brand makeups. I believe it does not really depend on what you're using to achieve that well made top quality look. Like my older post of my roommate's bronze eye look, that forever 21 palette was only for 7$ U.S money, and the quality is really not that bad, depending on how you use it. I will do a review on that palette shortly. I just want you gals to know that I am in no way sponsored by any company, nor get any benefits from telling you all about these brands. I just believe that if you do have a few bucks that you do want to use on cosmetics, especially in this bad economy, you can definitely try to buy a drugstore brand makeup. It will not hurt to try. But for now, I'll just leave you gals with a short thought about pros of "low end" products. Take care =].
