I had received a youtube request for fashion. But due to technical difficulties, I couldn't upload them on youtube. So instead, I am going to write a post on it. My subbie Sarahmurphy666 asked: "I was wondering if you could do an outfit request for me? I have loads of plaid/ flannel shirts and id like to wear them differently. I was thinking of layering a t-shirt or a polo shirt over one. Im just not too sure how to style it. Would you be bale to do a video on that."
Now, with plaid, it can be tricky on how to sport this style. Too much plaid, and it can look tacky. Not wearing it with complimentary clothing can also seem unflattering.
I came up with a few outfits with plaid and I hope it helps you out Sarah!
Outfit # 1)You mentioned how you were thinking of putting a shirt of some sort over your plaid shirt and I think that is a great idea! Here in outfit 1 you can see that this combo does come out well. You don't have to follow what she is wearing for the bottom half of this outfit of course. I think that regular sneakers and maybe even regular flats make up this look as well. A tip is to make sure that the shirt on the outside and the plaid colors compliment each other. Here's an example:
This outfit shows two different color schemes that can compliment each other =].
Outfit #2) Speaking of Layering each other, this outfit is really cute as well, especially for the winter time because here you can add a pop of color under your neutral plaids to add that extra touch to your look =). Another thing you can do here is to add some type of top layer over your plaid. Like here, you can use a vest or cardigan to finish off the look. A tip here is to make sure your outer layer of the vest is longer than what you actually wear.
So, that wraps up for the many ways you can dress up your plaid outfits. I hope you enjoyed this and found this helpful in anyway Sarah! and hope all you girlies enjoyed this as well! =)

Outfit #3With most fashions, we tend to spice things up with just a normal belt. =) here it really adds a fashionable taste to your regular plaid shirts. You can also add a skinny belt for a different type of look.
Or for casual, pair it tucked with regular pants.
Outfit #4)Pairing a plaid with either a puffy dress or a tight fitting dress can also be very stylish as well ^_~ Tip: Just make sure which style of shirts flatters your figure.
Outfit #5)For the classics, you can always try to wear them with overalls for a cute look =D

These are some great tips :) I really like how the outfits with layers over the plaid shirt look. I don't own too many plaid shirts, but I think I'll pull them out and try to come up with some new ways to wear them now :D
